Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is among the most popular Indian actors. In the 80s the actress began her acting career and became popular with the role of Tezaab which she played alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her subsequent appearance on screen was Dil alongside Aamir. Early on, as a child growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she learned to dance. She began acting when she was young and fought through a couple of years since the majority of her first films were flops. She found fame and became one of the top film actors. In the aftermath of her wedding ceremony, she took a short break from her acting career before returning. Recently, she played an important performance as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her social work is also known to the world.
